Open to Ordinary Members looking to continue a previous membership of the Association who are made redundant or access voluntary or early retirement from Police Service of Scotland, where supported by an SPRA Divisional Committee and/or Section for the purposes of maintaining involvement in activities and/or competitions and events operated by that Committee and/or Section, and/or retired Police officers and police staff from England, Northern Ireland or Wales, resident in Scotland who are in receipt of a pension from that organisation. Each membership application is reviewed and granted individually at the discretion of the SPRA board of directors.

Affiliate 3 Membership

Eligibility encompasses members of the Association who are made redundant or access voluntary or early retirement from Police Service of Scotland may, where supported by an SPRA Divisional Committee and/or Section for the purposes of maintaining involvement in activities and/or competitions and events operated by that Committee and/or Section, may apply to the Association Board for consideration as being an Associate Member (Affiliate).

This membership may also apply in respect of former Ordinary members (or those who would otherwise have been entitled to be an Ordinary member), who leave the organisation and are not in possession of an ordinary or an ill-health pension from Scottish Police Pension Authority (SPPA) (or BTPFS Superannuation fund).

Membership remains subject to approval of the Association Board of Directors, company articles and rules.

Affiliate 4 Membership

Eligibility encompasses Retired Police Officers/Staff resident in Scotland after completing their police service in England/Wales/N.Ireland or any other force approved and adopted by PSUK/SPRA and in receipt of a pension from that body. Approval by Association Board of Directors is made on an individual application basis.

Membership remains subject to approval of the Association Board of Directors, company articles and rules.

Please note, all SPRA benefits are subject to terms and condition of use set by the Associations, third party partners and providers and regulators. These include:

Participation in Events hosted or supported by the Association may be subject to ballot and/or further terms and conditions, including those set by 3rd party providers.
Lottery participation requires additional payments. Participants must be over 18 and adhere to the Association’s policy and Terms & Conditions of play.
A copy of the Association Articles, Rules and Terms & Conditions are published on the Association website (where appropriate).
Participation in PSUK events are subject to rules and guidance issued by that body.
